MAIN ARTIST: Joshua Morse
CATALOG NUMBER: URB-008
Super Sonic Fusion Collection brings Joshua Morse‘s distinctive production style to the music of the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. Across ten remixes, Morse reimagines familiar compositions from throughout the franchise through a blend of instrumental hip hop, R&B, funk, and new jack swing, retaining the melodies that make the originals recognizable while giving them a different musical character.
The collection includes a groove-driven interpretation of Mystic Cave Zone, the smooth, layered arrangement of Evening Star & This Horizon, and an upbeat take on Angel Island Zone (Act 2). Throughout the project, Morse combines crisp percussion, warm synthesizers, and carefully crafted arrangements to bring out new dimensions in the source material.
With its mix of familiar melodies and contemporary production, Super Sonic Fusion Collection offers a fresh way to enjoy music from one of gaming’s most recognizable franchises. The album has plenty to offer longtime Sonic fans while remaining an enjoyable collection of instrumental music in its own right.
